12-15 Strategic Plan
The Board of Directors of the Regional Tourism Organization 13 (RTO 13) met in November of 2011 to consider the results of an external environmental trends analysis, and establish strategic goals to ensure the organization remains relevant and of value to its stakeholders.
The external environmental analysis gathered information on political, economic, social, tourism and technological trends that will impact the stakeholders of RTO 13 and the organization itself over the next few years.
The Board also identified those individuals or groups of individuals with expectations of RTO 13, identified the topmost expectations for each, and assessed how well the organization was doing at meeting those expectations at the present time.
The planning process involved establishing a vision and mission statement, and establishing goals that will ensure that vision is indeed achieved. A general consensus on the priorities for the strategies that resulted was developed.
